Our Holistic Curriculum for Neurodiverse Learners
At SunDrama Education, we believe that every child’s growth—both academic and personal—is worth celebrating. Our therapeutic and creative curriculum is designed to support children and young people who are outside mainstream education, particularly those with additional needs or social, emotional, and sensory challenges.
A Creative, Therapeutic Learning Path
We do not follow a traditional, exam-focused route. Instead, our curriculum is shaped around the child—nurturing their confidence, communication, and curiosity through drama, art, sensory exploration, and nature-based learning. Each session is personalised to meet the developmental and emotional stage of the child, not just their chronological age.
The SunDrama Four Pillars Framework
Our work is guided by four core areas that reflect our values and goals for each student:
Wellbeing
Emotional safety, regulation, and resilience
Interaction
Communication, self-expression, and building relationships
Life Skills
Independence, decision-making, and daily living skills
Creative Learning
Curiosity, problem-solving, and imaginative exploration
These pillars help us track progress in ways that go beyond standard academic measures—focusing on meaningful engagement, increased confidence, and joy in learning.
Enrichment Through the Arts
Students are offered creative and therapeutic experiences through:
- Drama and roleplay activities
- Sensory art and movement sessions
- Storytelling and improvisation
- Outdoor play and mindfulness
Through these approaches, we lay a foundation for lifelong learning, helping our children reconnect with themselves and the world around them—at their own pace, in their own way.
